As a still-life photographer in Miami, renowned for capturing the essence of luxury and elegance, I recently embarked on an exciting project that aligned perfectly with my passion for wine photography. I had the privilege of being contracted by the prestigious agency Republica Havas for a unique photoshoot, highlighting the esteemed wine brands Santa Margherita and Torresella. This project was a remarkable opportunity to work for the first time with Republica Havas, focusing on creating both photographs and reels for social media content.
The photoshoot extended over four intense days, preceded by a day dedicated to pre-lighting, where three sets were meticulously prepared. Two of these sets were designed for action shots, capturing the dynamic pouring of wine into glasses. This required a full day of pre-lighting to ensure everything was ready, involving intricate adjustments like cutting the tips of the bottles to be held by gripping systems and conducting tests to calculate the pour trajectory from the bottle to the glass. After hours of rehearsal and testing, we successfully established a stable setup on Sunday.
That same Sunday, in collaboration with the art director, we also arranged tables and shelves with their respective props for each photograph, optimizing time and leaving everything organized to achieve our objectives for the numerous photos and videos awaiting us over the next four days. Once everything was set, including the lights and sets, we began our photoshoot on Monday. We organized the session by establishing two parallel sets, allowing the art and prop stylist team to prepare the next set while we photographed the current one, functioning seamlessly like a Swiss watch for four days.
